Tell us what “merino” means in your brief
If you require 100% merino wool, say so. If a blend is acceptable, provide the target percentages or the result you want to achieve. We should not substitute a blend under the same name without your agreement.
Yarn count, fibre specification and finishing affect the knitted result. When you have an established product, a physical reference helps put the hand feel and stitch definition into context.
Merino project specification
| Item | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Composition | Required fibre percentages and what documentation is needed |
| Knit and construction | Rib or other structure, layers, cuff and finished dimensions |
| Colour | Existing shade or a custom colour development request |
| Branding | Decoration method and how it behaves on the selected knit |
| Care and claims | Agreed care instructions and evidence for any performance or sourcing claim |
Approve the hat, not just the yarn card
Review the finished sample for fit, surface appearance, cuff recovery and the feel of the decorated area. If washing or another care treatment is part of your specification, agree how it will be checked.
A stock material photograph is useful for this preview’s layout. Your actual yarn swatch, shade and specification will replace it before the material is presented as a project example.
